I awoke to a dark moody sky, with a tinge of pink and to my delight, as clouds parted, my sister Luna was still awake. Such a beautiful way to begin the day and behold, as my day unfolded, I was gifted many more wondrous miracles. What a thrill to see blossom on a Winters day and have several hummingbirds visit, adding yet more excitement to my morning walk. My heart over-flowed with love and gratitude; I felt - I might burst with joy.
I think, I may have floated all the way home.
Joy is not made to be a crumb
Mary Oliver
I couldn’t wait to let my paint brush dance across the paper watching the little birds, blossoms and hummingbird beings emerge in my playful flow.
Even on the hardest days, the days when you feel so heavy, deeply sad, spending time in nature, can lift our spirits like nothing else can. It could be one tiny bird, a flower, the wind whispering, a sunrise, a sunset; the scent of pine on a walk through the woods; and sometimes when least expected—fairies and angels appear with heart shaped petals to wipe our tears.
Isn’t the natural world miraculous, so deeply grateful to Mother Earth and all her wonders and magic.
Today I felt Mary Olivers poem quite befitting…
Don't Hesitate
If you suddenly and unexpectedly feel joy,
don’t hesitate. Give in to it. There are plenty
of lives and whole towns destroyed or about
to be. We are not wise, and not very often
kind. And much can never be redeemed.
Still, life has some possibility left. Perhaps this
is its way of fighting back, that sometimes
something happens better than all the riches
or power in the world. It could be anything,
but very likely you notice it in the instant
when love begins. Anyway, that’s often the
case. Anyway, whatever it is, don’t be afraid
of its plenty. Joy is not made to be a crumb.

And then I play a little more, lately I have really enjoyed flipping my original artwork, mirroring to see what is secretly hiding in my art, revealing the most wonderful stories for me to explore….
What do you see?
May your day be filled with little miracles that uplift your spirit and make your heart sing, sending love and light and a sprinkling of fairy kisses.
