My work as a facilitator for joy-filled learning, is based on my own early childhood, my personal experiences as a mother of 3 and my experience coaching educators from around the world.
My tried and tested methods were borne from running an outdoor nature-based art classroom for 10 years for age groups 5 -7 years (we frequently had both, younger and older children join us for the day). The nature based art processes and activities I share here can be adapted for younger and older age groups.

What we experience as a child establishes deep rooted connections that influence our development and what we might become. I still view the world with a sense of wonder and innocence, as I did as a child. Seeing everything as if it were for the first time, with an open heart. When I stop to observe, to wonder, focus in on, say a flower or a tree, a rock or bird, it is with spirit - an open heart and a curious mind, through the eyes of a child.
Art provides us with a voice, a language to expressing our feelings and emotions. It is a language I have understood ever since I was a very young child. Creating nature art helps us form a deeper understanding of ourselves and our sacred connection to the Earth, Sea, Sky, to all creation. Art can be an act of love, reciprocating the love and beauty we receive in an abundance from our Mother Earth.
